Key Trends and Opportunities in the Croatian Construction Market

Research and Markets has announced the addition of the "Construction in Croatia - Key Trends and Opportunities to 2019" report to their offering.

Croatia's construction industry has suffered a dramatic decline since the global financial crisis. In real terms, the Croatian construction industry's output contracted by 6.1% in 2014, following an average annual decline of 10.0% over the preceding four years. Weak business confidence and consumer demand, high unemployment, a large budget deficit, depressed economic conditions in the eurozone and public spending cuts affected demand for construction during the review period (2010-2014).

The industry is expected to fare slightly better over the forecast period (2015-2019), however, with new investment in transport infrastructure, energy, industrial and commercial projects, and improving investor confidence as regional and global economic conditions improve. The industry's output value is forecast to increase marginally in real terms, picking up from a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of -7.77% during the review period to 0.28% over the forecast period.
