Bringing the outside in

Luxury interior brand Charlotte Jade, founded in 2015 by artist Charlotte Oโ€™Rilley, have recently added ceramic tiles to their product range.  The company focuses on hand-drawn images of flora and fauna, attempting to reconnect consumers with the beauty of the natural world.

With the desire to blur the lines between interior spaces and the outside world, this trend continues into their ceramic collection. The tiles are sourced from Italy and digitally printed in the UK.  As a bespoke service, designs can be created to order, and existing patterns and images can be altered to fit consumer wishes.

There are nine print collections to explore including animal-centered designs, trendy botanicals, as well as plays on texture and geometric shapes.  Although primarily focused on wallpaper and textiles, the digital printing of tiles opens up an opportunity to add vibrancy to areas of heavy traffic or moisture.

The Wild Parakeet design was made exclusively for Kelly Hoppen Interiors and exemplifies the tiles’ many uses.  Suitable not only for walls and floors, but also for use in spas and swimming pools, these tiles are modern in appearance, but flexible in their use. As an additional bonus the designs are intended to reduce stress, and the bespoke designs create unique, exclusive art suitable for any interior purpose.
