Rugby Announces Acquisition of Albuquerque Hardwoods

Rugby Architectural Building Products announces the acquisition of Albuquerque Hardwood Lumber Company, Albuquerque, NM.

“We are extremely excited about the addition of Albuquerque Hardwoods to the Rugby Architectural Building Products team. Myles Lasner and his team have done a fabulous job building a great business from its start-up in 1988 and we look forward to combining our resources and expanding our base of business in New Mexico as well as adding Amarillo, TX as our fifth location in Texas," commented Drew Dickinson, Rugby Chief Operating Officer.

“We have built our business by aligning ourselves with long-standing, highly-regarded distribution franchises and top tier manufacturers so that we can deliver a superior depth and breadth of products and services to our customers. Albuquerque Hardwoods is an exceptional company that we are pleased to welcome into the Rugby family,” said David Hughes, Rugby President and CEO.

The new locations open for business on June 6, 2016, in Albuquerque, NM and Amarillo, TX, as Rugby Architectural Building Products. Over the next few months, operations in New Mexico will be combined with Rugby’s existing Albuquerque, NM Distribution Center.
