Innovation meets performance as Deceuninck North America introduces the eos™ window system, which applies world-class engineering and advanced material science to create a new window standard for performance, economy and fabricator efficiency.
Making its debut at the company's booth (#1413) at GlassBuild America, eos is designed to meet the criteria for ENERGY STAR® 6.0 as well as its "Most Efficient Window."
At the industry-wide event held from September 9-11 at the Las Vegas Convention Center, Deceuninck will also showcase a host of other products and capabilities, including new door technologies, window systems designed for the West coast and export markets, color solutions and more.
"Eos, which stands for Energy Optimized System, is also the Greek goddess of dawn that signals a new day is dawning for energy efficiency. At Deceuninck, we are excited to launch a brand new window system to fabricators that meets and in some configurations exceeds ENERGY STAR 6.0 for all climate zones," said Filip Geeraert, president and CEO of Deceuninck North America. "Our customers have come to expect innovation, but our approach to the new ENERGY STAR requirement has been truly unique. By launching eos, we are well-positioned to offer what the market demands. And we have delivered what we promised, which are ways to build a better window."
Key performance features of the eos window system include meeting ENERGY STAR requirements with a .27 U-factor with double pane glass configuration and the Most Efficient Window program with a .20 U-factor with triple pane glass and without argon, and less than or equal to .04 air infiltration (exceeding the version 6.0 requirement of less than or equal to .30). The design features a unique telescoping welded sill, triple weather seals, and patented features that enable a design pressure rating for DP50 that can be configured for higher performance. Triple glazing is also an option with an insulated glazing (IG) package that can accommodate from ¾ to 1¼ inches.
Eos offers a variety of color and finish options including a core standard offering of stocked laminate colors. Standard solid colors include white, sandstone and clay. Standard laminate colors include light oak, dark oak, calvados cherry and bronze. Other available colors include chocolate brown, hunter green, silver metallic, midnight, clay, cherry, Winchester light oak, maple, real oak and real pine.
Eos is designed to accept a new line of accessories, offering exceptional customization in a value package. All extrusions are manufactured using Deceuninck's exclusive SunShield® materials developed and formulated to withstand the harsh effects of weather and ultraviolet light. Laminated products utilize Solex™ technology, offering curb appeal and unrivaled quality, color retention and weather resistance. Eos is also designed for INNERGY® Rigid Thermal Reinforcements, an advanced fiberglass insert that helps provide greater support and insulation versus traditional aluminium reinforcements.
On Wednesday, September 10, Deceuninck invites its guests into a world of windows, doors and design innovations with a hospitality event at La Cave restaurant at the Wynn (3131 S. Las Vegas Blvd.). At the event, invited guests will enjoy cocktails, hors d'oeuvres and connections with colleagues across the industry.
Now in its twelfth year, GlassBuild America is the gathering place for the glass, window and door industries in North America. Organized by the National Glass Association, GlassBuild America showcases glass processing equipment, window and door manufacturing equipment, and the latest technologies for all types of glass and fenestration products in North America.
