The worn, rustic, and rough wood-look tiles from Portinari‘s Memory collection add immediate atmosphere. The colour and texture of the tiles were inspired by northern Italy’s mountain houses, whose exteriors have been deeply affected by years of sun and rain.
The sun-bleached pale grey, and the jagged surface have a well worn appearance. They help one imagine time passed and add a sense of strength and stability to interiors. The pale tones feel wintery, whilst the warmth of the beige brings a relaxing and bright summer atmosphere, making the tiles perfect for each season.
These porcelain pieces come in a non-slip plank format (300 by 1200mm), and a chevron decor style (600 by 1200m) – a large amount of grain and shade variation gives delightful realism. The tiles add immediate heritage and visual intrigue, offering simple and inviting rustic charm.
