The Gambini Tile on Time brand prides itself on delivering contemporary style and design.  Offering a very wide variety of formats, together with a wide range of tile types, colours, surfaces and decors, Gambini aims to be a reliable source for architects and interior designers seeking a cutting=edge look.  The Link range offers a new riff on the popular cotto/cement look with a simple concrete vibe.  The colour options – Freddi, Ice, Ash, Storm, Caldi, Vanilla, Croissant, and Coffee – sit happily in the interesting neutral camp.  The available formats are 300 by 600mm, 600 by 600mm, and 900 by 900mm: all rectified.  Options include battiscopa, mosaics, and hexagons.

Ceramiche Lea’s Nextone is a collection with an engineered stone effect.  Combining stones from four different quarries, whose characteristics are fused together, and adding original graphic designs, Lea has created a stone that doesn’t exist in nature, but one that has a balanced and natural look.  The range’s decorative style is further expressed in three contemporary textures: Line, Dot and Mark.  These deliver lightweight effects that can be combined with the natural and honed finishes of the base tiles to create flowing, co-ordinated environments.  The four colour options are Next White, Next Gray, Next Taupe, and Next Dark.  The available format are 300 by 600mm, 600 by 600mm, and 600 by 1,200mm.

Readers of Tile Addict will know that I am a big fan of Made+ 39. I am drawn to the company’s eloquent design vocabulary, that unites Italian traditions of hand-crafting and high fashion, and reinterprets them in a manner that can truly enhance contemporary architecture.  The product portfolio is varied, surprising and high quality.  Designed by Annika Cova, Acquerello is a great example.  Inspired by water-colour painting, the aim is to feature the painter’s entire colour palette on 300 by 300mm tiles.  In this stunning range, delicate hues are blended on porcelain stoneware to give the material new delicacy.  The main colours are ivory and grey blue, but the true stars are the warm and cold decors.  Do seek this range out at Atlanta if possible!

Finally, for today, Monocibec’s Charm is a stoneware range that interprets five woods, each with its own distinctive personality and modern colour.  The design options are Charm White, Charm Walnut, Charm Taupe, Charm Brown, and Charm Honey.  The choice of plank formats is 300 by 1,800mm, 300 by 1,200mm, 200 by 1,200mm, and 200 by 1,000mm; all 9mm thick,   Both Natural and Grip surfaces are available.
