Neolith Donates €300K to Spanish Hospitals
ALMAZORA, Spain – Neolith® announced a donation Saturday of €300,000 to hospitals in its home province of Castellón.
The surface manufacturer donated the funds to Hospital General Universitar and Hospital Provincial in Castellón de la Plana along with Hospital Universitario de La Plana in Villareal.
Neolith’s production plant and headquarters are located in Almazora, only a few miles away from both Castellón de la Plana and Villareal. The facilities employ more than 500 people.
“As one of our founding principles, we are dedicated to nurturing and protecting our employees, their families and the wider local community,” noted a statement from the company.
The financial contribution is combined with a robust set of preventive measures for employees, which follow the Ministry of Health guidelines. Emergency measures announced during the weekend effectively banned people from leaving home except for work and buying essentials such as food and medicine.
Neolith also appealed to its neighboring area, along with all of Spain’s population, to behave in a civil and responsible manner during these tough and uncertain times to help overcome the coronavirus pandemic as soon as possible.
