ISFA Selects Berry for Hall of Fame
INGOMAR, Pa. – Russ Berry, a former president of the International Surface Fabricators Association (ISFA), is the latest honoree for the industry group’s Hall of Fame award.
Russ BerryBerry, president of ASST in McSherrytown, Pa., was inducted into hall during the ISFA’s virtual annual meeting and conference late last year.
Berry, a past recipient of ISFA awards, has offered devoted service to the industry group, including the hosting of events. His work at ASST consistenty showcased solid-surface design capability in complex high-end projects.
Other 2020 ISFA award winners are:
Fabricator of the Year: The Countertop Factory Midwest in Addison, Ill. Given annually to a company that exemplifies the ISFA ideals of quality, innovation, character and exemplary service industry, with overall excellence, the award honors Countertop Factory Midwest for its generous support and mentorship of other fabricators in the industry. Owners Geoffrey Gran and Bill Heuer willing share knowledge and expertise around sales, fabrication and general business.
Associate of the Year: Moraware of Reno, Nev. The fabrication-management-software company is a supportive partner of ISFA’s education efforts to educate the industry. In addition to offering its products, it also provides industry information in numerous areas, such as marketing, networking and technology integration to serve fabricators, and has done so for years.
Innovator Award: SPEEDlabel®from Fifth Gear Technology. SPEEDlabel is a custom labeling solution to track production of all parts in countertop production. It also works to prevent mistakes, and aids shops of any size to be more-efficient and -profitable.
Envision Award: INEOS, a London-based chemical-production company that created bio-based resins to allow quartz manufacturers to mitigate petroleum use and create more-sustainable products. The resins also allow for flat, strong and consistent slabs.
