MSI Promotes Distance Education with Tech Donation
ORANGE, Calif. — M S International Inc. (MSI) is giving a laptop or tablet device to all of its hourly employees in North America to give them – and their families – the tools necessary for distance learning and development as a result of the COVID-19 crisis.
Due to cost considerations at school districts and with families ,many children did not have the tools to participate in distance learning as school buildings closed nationwide. MSI purchased and is delivering laptop and tablet devices to all of the hourly employees requesting one.
These devices can be used for distance learning, as well as to help families stay in contact with each other while shelter-at-home orders are in effect.
“The COVID-19 pandemic has caused huge disruption to our normal way of life,” said Raj Shah, MSI president. “With children being forced to learn virtually from home, we realized that many of our employees did not have the required hardware to enable distance learning.
“Education is paramount to the success of children and families and we were not going to let our employees’ children suffer from a lack of education even during these times.”
MSI contributes significantly to education-related causes. The company and its founders’ hope is to make education attainable for all children.
