Nemo’s Nouveau

Wood-effect tiles are a special creation- the resistance and lifespan of ceramic with the natural beauty of timber, plus the freedom and luxury to combine wood with underfloor heating. This plank/porcelain crossover is a Tile Addict favourite and seeing what innovations companies are bringing to the table is a real treat.

From Nemo Tile, their Nouveau porcelain range has moved on from a traditional plank, although they are still available in sizes 86mm by 350mm and 150mm by 900mm. Alongside these are two hexagon variants (240mm by 277mm) and one intriguing basket weave mosaic (300mm by 300mm sheet). Of the two hexagon offerings, one is a simple wood-effect tile in a hexagonal shape, and the other is similar but features an additional border.

Due to the realistic shade variance throughout, the borders create additional contrast for a stunning finish. The colour variations are also key for the effect of the basket weave mosaic which is simply created using small rectangle tiles in alternating orientations. Combined with the high shade variance, these lovely mosaics have a softening impact and intriguing look.

The range is available in four colours: Ivory, Silver, Pewter, and Sepia. They are suitable for both wall and floor applications and are frost and stain resistant.
