In this episode of the popular business TV show, host Kathy Ireland speaks with Gayle Baker and Jess Baker, President and Vice President of Acanthus Studios, about their integration of "nature-based design solutions" into their offerings.
Gayle Baker starts out by noting that many people don't realize that they can bring nature into their home environment through this cutting-edge design trend. Jess Baker adds that educating the public about these options involves staging the Acanthus showroom so that homeowners can visualize how these elements would look in their own home.
Acanthus Studios carries a variety of antiques, but it also creates customized furnishings and appliances using animal hides and other natural materials. According to Gayle Baker, the company started as a dealer in an antique mall before moving to Atlanta and focusing on malls and shows over a 20-year period.
