Iberian Inspired Limestone

Ceramiche Refin‘s strong response during these times of uncertainty, with attempts at being “virtually nearer” to their customers, means they have been on the ball when it comes to digitally presenting what would otherwise have been their stand at this year’s Coverings. Thankfully Diary of a Tile Addict can also do a little to help, and we have opened up our site to known and trusted tile brands, providing one FREE post over April, May, and June.

Refin have selected for us Pedra Azul, a collection that sources its inspiration from a limestone from the Iberian Peninsula. The subtle beauty of the wavy surface brings elegance and harmony, with natural tones emphasising the organic quality of the design. In homage to the original material a Natural colour is offered, as is a pale Ivory, a cool Grey, and a warm Griege.

Fossils, rings, and colour patches of varying intensity give life to the tiles whilst homogeneous decor is found through the natural tones. The collection if offered in four standard formats (1,200 by 1,200mm, 600 by 1,200mm, 600 by 600mm, and 300 by 600mm), as well as a 70 by 600mm bullnose, and 300 by 300mm mosaics.

There are two mosaics options in the collection – one with regular Matte tiles, and the other Mosaico Mix which combines the two surface finishes (Matte and Structured). The Structured surface features regular incisions that create a 3D effect and providing further dynamism to the collection.
