New Cuban Tile Collection Highlights Rich, Architectural Style of Historic Havana

LAS VEGAS, HD EXPO (May 15, 2019) ― As part of its mission to create signature custom looks and unique design elements for hospitality and residential projects, Villa Lagoon Tile launches its new Cuban Collection, a set of authentic Cuban cement tile patterns and color combinations. The collection is inspired by both Havana and also the smaller, colonial towns rich in architectural beauty.

The Villa Lagoon Tile Cuban Collection is available in twenty patterns which are presented in colorways exactly or similar to those seen on historical Cuban floors and walls. Some of the patterns are appropriately named after Cuban dance and musical styles because the rich effect of the varied color tones, combined with the rhythm of the repeating patterns, can exude a feeling of motion and movement. The cement tile collection is also available in any of Villa Lagoon Tile’s 85 standard colors. Designers and consumers can go to the easy-to-use cement tile design tool to create a customized color combination.

“Villa Lagoon Tile’s Cuban Collection is inspired by a trip to Cuba that I took with my product designer to explore and document the rich heritage of cement tiles in the architecture,” said Lundy Wilder, founder, Villa Lagoon Tile. “We examined some of the most extraordinary designs that remain in Cuba after all these years, and all twenty patterns available in the new Cuban collection are authentic interpretations of this experience.”

Villa Lagoon Tile’s Cuban Collection cement tile is perfect for anyone who wants to create an authentic coastal atmosphere in a tranquil relaxation room, or an open gathering space in the home inspired by historic design from around the world. The Cuban Collection is also perfect for hospitality designers who want to create an atmosphere that emanates a tropical vibe as some of the colorways reflect the serene Caribbean beaches, while others echo the music and sounds of Havana.

These dynamic tiles are made to last: no printed-on color here. Similar to natural stone, each cement tile is unique with slight color variations, the sign of an artisan-made product. Installing cement tiles is similar to installing natural stone, with tighter grout lines and use of a sealant after the tiles are set.

Samples of the Cuban Collection can be shipped directly from the warehouse centrally located on the Gulf Coast.
