Creative Decorations for Father’s Day
Father’s Day offers a nice opportunity to every child to show how much s/he loves and appreciates her/his father. Creating decorative items with a strong personal touch is a wonderful manner of showing your unexpressed love to your father as well as to tell him how special he is. A list of Father’s Day decoration ideas is given below:
A good way to display your father’s role as a father is to decorate the home with pictures, showcasing different great moments of his life with you. Start arranging images from the day when he became a father and work your way systematically up to latest images. Hang the pictures everywhere in the home after adding decorative paper as border around each of them. You can also print out a poster-size picture of one of the most significant moments of your life with your father and use it as a cover of a lampshade or a Chinese lamp.

Try these personalized Father’s Day gifts he will actually use.
A Banner with Loving Words
Make a big banner and set it up in the front yard of the house. You can imprint one or two popular rhymes or any favorite quote about Dad on the banner. The best thing you can do is to write a short poem or rhyme about your Dad and print it on the banner.
A Personalized Wreath
Make a personalized wreath with items that picture your father’s hobby. Those items can be personal pictures, small objects, images taken from magazines, or cartoon images of your father and his activities drawn by you. Attach these objects to the wreath with floral wire, wood glue, or hot glue. Hang it on the front door to welcome Dad home. You can also use pre-made wreath decorated with pre-made wooden letters spelling ‘Happy Father’s Day’ for this purpose.
Make a ‘Dad’ Scarecrow
It will be a great fun item to fill up your front yard on the Father’s Day. You will need a white pillowcase, some old slacks, and an old shirt of your father to make the scarecrow. If Dad’s old clothing is not available, check your local goodwill for collecting these items. Button up the shirt and sew it to the slacks at the waste. Use the pillowcase for making the head. Stuff the clothing and the head with hay. Draw on a face with a marker and put an old hat on the head. This simple and fun Dad scarecrow will surely amuse your Dad.
Father’s Day is a unique occasion to celebrate Dads. Just a little effort on your part can turn the day into a memorable one in both you and your father’s life. These simple personalized decorations will definitely make your Dad emotional and bring a smile on his face.
