Cliffton, N.J.—DriTac Flooring Products, a domestic manufacturer of premium-grade adhesives and installation-related products for the flooring industry, has named David Clarkson president.

Clarkson has held numerous positions with DriTac since 2003, most recently as senior vice president – sales. Yale Block and Myrna Block (formerly president and vice president, respectively) remain involved with DriTac’s future as chairman and vice chairman of the board of directors.

“David is a very strong leader with exceptional organizational skills,” Yale and Myrna stated. “He has the unique ability to understand the most important requirements of our customers and develop strategically derived programs to meet those needs while elevating the overall level of performance to consistently achieve successful results for and with our business partners. We are extremely delighted to have him take the day-to-day reins of our company and have absolute trust in his skill and integrity as our leader.”

Clarkson has held key positions in the flooring industry for the past 30 years including field sales, sales management and marketing. He also served in the U.S. Army Reserve for nearly 35 years, having retired in 2017 with the rank of Major General with extensive active duty time in the U.S. and the Middle East, including a senior lead for logistics in Afghanistan in 2013.

Over the past few years, DriTac has successfully launched rubber and foam flooring underlayment and finished recycled rubber flooring categories, among other new product segments. These additions have allowed DriTac to diversify its product portfolio and offer customers problem-solving flooring installation solutions that help broaden their overall scope and enhance their bottom line.

This foray into new flooring industry sectors also allows DriTac to provide customers with fully warranted systems from one trusted, single-source supplier. Product innovation has always been at the forefront of DriTac’s focus and that hi-tech appeal is now combined with an expanded assortment of American-made products.
