Santa Fe Springs, Calif.—Galleher LLC has acquired Sunwood Distribution, located in Midvale, Utah. Founded in 2007, Sunwood is a flooring supply distributor in the Salt Lake City area that services the Utah and Idaho markets with hard surface flooring and installation supplies. The acquisition, according to Galleher, provides an opportunity to combine Sunwood’s impeccable local service and relationships with the company’s deep breadth of products, inventory and sourcing capabilities.

“We are very excited about expanding into the Utah market,” said Jeff Hamar, Galleher CEO. “With the addition of the great team at Sunwood, we are thrilled to partner with their fine customers to build on the success they have had together over the past 13 years.”

According to the Galleher, managing partners Ted Stosich and Dave Jensen as well as the rest of the Sunwood family are joining the Galleher team and will continue to provide the products and high level of service their customers expect. “We can’t wait to offer our customers the incredible selection of products that Galleher has available, backed by big inventories and an 83-year history of expertise in hardwood flooring,” said Stosich. “We’re especially excited to give our hardwood customers access to Galleher’s custom finishing capabilities out of their Phoenix plant.”

Sunwood’s main branch will be Galleher’s new Utah home. In March, Galleher will be hosting a series of special customer events in the Salt Lake City area to showcase the many new product lines that will now be available to Utah and Idaho customers.
