2016 Stone Industry Education Series Set

OBERLIN, Ohio – The Stone Industry Education Series will reach from coast-to-coast in North America next year.

The program, from the Marble Institute of America (MIA) and Stone World magazine, will bring Stone Summits to ten cities and will feature distinct educational topics and a new format for the always-popular Fabricator Forum.

250 StonesummitsSummits will focus on areas such as Stone Shop Administration, Stone Shop Management and Marketing Success for Fabricators. Each event also includes a roundtable forum by and for fabricators, with a new design to encourage more interaction and active participation.

Each Stone Summit will be facilitated by an experienced industry leader., including GK Naquin (Stone Interiors), Tony Malisani (Malisani Inc.), Marty Gould (Focalize Consulting), and Eric Tryon (Premier Surfaces). Several locations will also offer optional events the day before the Stone Summit, including CEU courses and MIA Accreditation Immersion Classes.

This year’s series saw a 20% increase in attendance from 2014, with each event averaging 42 fabricators from 26 companies representing five states, said Aaron Dahnke, MIA Education Manager.

“MIA is excited to continue our partnership with Stone World and provide fabricator education across the US and Canada,” Dahnke added. “Our goal is to ensure fabricators have an outlet to discuss best practices and learn the best way to manage their business.”
