Lancaster, Pa.—AHF Products has named Derr Flooring its 2018 Hardwood Distributor of the Year.

“This partnership has withstood the test of time, over 100 years, and has flourished thanks to Derr’s thoughtful leadership and a willingness to adapt in an ever-changing marketplace,” said Chris King, vice president of sales, AHF Products.“Our 2018 Wood Distributor of the Year has consistently grown their Armstrong and Bruce hardwood business over the last several years. Their sales territory was expanded in 2018 and they executed on their plan to grow the Bruce hardwood floor business outside of programed work in both their new and existing territory.”

While the Bruce brand and Derr are among the oldest flooring names in the country—Derr celebrated their centennial anniversary in 2018 as the longest tenured Bruce Distributor in North America—company executives believe age is not the only unique thing going for them. Rather, it’s a mutual commitment to service and quality, which sets them apart.

“The key to our long-term success is carrying quality products from great brands such as Bruce and supporting our customers,” said Rick Holden, chief operating officer, Derr Flooring. “With the new and exciting move to AHF Products and a laser focus on hardwood, we are more confident than ever that the hardwood category will grow and offer increased value to the retailer and consumer.”
