Emily Morrow Home unveils 2020 color of the year

HomeNewsEmily Morrow Home unveils 2020 color of the year

Dalton—Emily Morrow Finkell, CEO of Emily Morrow Home, is ringing in 2020 with her color of the year: Gesso. This influential color is featured in several Emily Morrow Home and Louis A. Dabbieri hardwoods in addition to being the color of the company’s new display header.

Finkell encountered Gesso throughout her travels to Normandy, Paris, and historic sites across the United States. Impressed by its prevalence in architecture and design, Finkell found herself drawn to the intricate, yet soothing, mix of creamy taupe and marble that gives Gesso its rich, layered appearance.  “Gesso represents the unobstructed beauty found in natural elements that brings a sense of calm and, therefore, luxury to the forefront of today’s interiors,” said Finkell.

Gesso is represented in Emily Morrow Home’s Santa Rosa style and in Atocha, which is part of the Louis A. Dabbiere by Emily Morrow Home Collection. Both styles have become two of the company’s best-selling luxury hardwoods. Today’s designers are leading the trend in interiors with this visual by contrasting the Gesso color with equally light walls or counterbalancing it against near-black, iron ore color for drama.

Emily Morrow Home is also featuring Gesso in the company’s new display header, which is designed to provide a lighter, cleaner backdrop for the luxurious collection of hardwoods. Also promoted on the display is the OMG Proof splash, spill and scuff protection that makes Emily Morrow Home hardwoods even more pet and kid-friendly than they were before.

Emily Morrow Home will showcase its full line of hardwoods and new display header at Domotex USA, booth 1301. Finkell is also hosting a mill tour on Feb. 4 and a designer panel lunch on Feb. 5. For more information and to register, visit domotexusa.com
