Export, Pa.—Three luxury vinyl product ranges by Karndean Designflooring have been recognized by The Chicago Athenaeum: Museum of Architecture and Design with a 2020 Good Design Award, including the Heritage collection, Opus and Karndean LooseLay. The annual awards program recognizes the most innovative, bold and cutting-edge products from around the world.

Heritage collection

Inspired by the geometric types of floor tiles found in Victorian and Regency homes and landmarks, the Clifton and Mayfair patterns within the 20-mil glue-down Heritage collection have been developed to capture the opulence of these traditional English architectural styles and patterns and embody the pinnacle of designed floors. The monochromatic and bold palettes complement classic spaces and contemporary interiors alike.

Opus

The latest stone additions to the Opus 20-mil glue-down range include easy-to-install 18 x 24 patterned tiles inspired by the artistic beauty of traditional Moroccan architecture and an additional colorway and 18 x 3 size format of an existing limestone visual that may be interpreted as stained concrete.

Karndean LooseLay

Available in a 20-mil loose lay format, eight new stone visuals were added to the Karndean LooseLay non-interlocking, floating floor range. Replicating the in-demand looks of travertine, concrete and slate, Karndean LooseLay is notable for multi-directional visuals, fast install time, acoustic properties (ΔIIC 16dB), individually replaceable pieces and a seamless transition to commercial carpet tile.
