2022 Annual Product GuideAs supply chain slowdowns eased, flooring manufacturers got back to the business of delivering winning products to their flooring retailers. Indeed, FCNews’ 2022 Annual Product Guide is a nod to many of the outstanding products entering the marketplace.

This year’s guide featured a record 29 suppliers who showcased their wares—from ultra-soft carpet to rigid core SPC. Several newcomers appear in the guide this year. Eagle Creek Floors, a Home Legend brand, unveiled a rigid core product called ScratchBoss. This rigid core vinyl plank and tile provides robust scratch, scuff and dent protection.

Durato USA introduced its V-EVO XL collection of extra-long and ultra-wide planks ideal for corporate spaces and hospitality locations. V-EVO XL features its signature Quantum X wear layer, strengthened by real diamonds, for added protection against scratches, stains and dents,

Klöckner Pentaplast (kp), a global leader in recycled content products and high-barrier protective packaging, is mostly known for serving the pharmaceutical, medical device and protein markets. But it also has a tangential presence in flooring as a provider of print and wear layer solutions for luxury vinyl. A case in point is kp Print Layer flooring films, which work with many WPC or SPC core materials.

Top 5 flooring distributor Galleher introduced a selection of family of brands—among them, Reward Flooring’s Islands and Castillo collections. The Castillo collection, for example, includes Arborea, a plantation-grown hardwood floor that is handscraped by experienced wood craftsmen.

Of course, the Product Guide includes industry heavyweights like Mohawk, Shaw and Engineered Floors. Among Mohawk’s featured products is UltraStrand, a carpet created with high-quality nylon. The end result: refined softness, long-lasting beauty, proven durability and colorfastness.

Shaw Floors’ Home Within is a plush linen providing dimension and texture. Its striking pattern has a balanced palette of color that offers a distinct presence in the home with its matte base and lustrous accent.

Engineered Floors debuted Manuscript, the company’s most recent DW Select introduction that features a high-contrast, geometric pattern utilizing the patented PureColor solution-dyed PET twistX technology. This color enhanced MLCL (multi-level cut loop) pattern uses the latest tufting technology to create a sophisticated visual that is suitable for bedrooms, living rooms and entertainment spaces.

On the hard surface side, Mannington showcased Revival, this year’s addition to the heralded Restoration laminate collection. Revival is an 8-inch-wide pattern with 20 individual plank designs highlighted by subtle hand sculpting and wirebrushing.

TRUCOR, the hard surface brand of The Dixie Group, did not disappoint with its four selections. The brand included the new Tymbr XL collection. Constructed with a sustainable wood fiber core (WFC), Tymbr XL is built to perform with exceptional durability. Its AC6 abrasion rating makes it suitable for commercial and active residential spaces.

Tarkett’s ProGen rigid core flooring, meanwhile, can be installed in any room of the home, including three-season rooms with extreme temperature changes and rooms that are most prone to moisture and spills.

For hardwood lovers, there’s Mercier and Mirage. For starters, Mercier’s unique finishing process for its Naked collection gives its White Ash Naked offering a European and modern look, while the Flair collection from Mirage is distinguished by the natural attributes of hardwood graining. Indusparquet impressed with its trademark Tigerwood by adding a darker stain to expand its palette.

FCNews’ Annual Product Guide 2022 promotes the latest and greatest offerings from industry players representing all categories. Each manufacturer that chose to participate in this special issue had the opportunity to submit a photo and description of four recently introduced products or top sellers. The idea here is that they not only stay on your radar when offering options to the consumer but that they also earn placement on your showroom floor. Moreover, this special issue is intended to provide information flooring dealers can use when customers walk into your store seeking a particular product.

Regardless of the personal tastes or preferences of consumers in your local market, chances are you’ll find a few suppliers offering a range of both soft and hard surface products in the guide. Consider the Annual Product Guide your one-stop shop for great products in the marketplace, assisting you in making recommendations to customers.
