SikaTile-Ultima GroutChino, Calif.—Sika, global leader in specialty chemicals, launched its new ready-to-use grout at Coverings 2022. According to the company, the debut of SikaTile-Ultima Grout prevailed at Booth N2562 and the innovation installation stage set up in the North Hall of the Las Vegas Convention Center as Sika crews performed numerous demonstrations with the top-quality, easy-to-apply product.

The Ceramic Tile Education Foundation held ACT Mud Walls and ACT Mud Floors evaluations in the northeast corner of the hall, and SikaTile-905 Fat Mud and SikaTile-904 Deck Mud were respectively chosen as the materials for participants to show their skills. “Sika has a great relationship with CTEF and we are always happy to supply high-quality materials for their education and evaluation exercises,” said Tom Carroll, senior product manager, Sika. “Scott Carothers and the team at CTEF couldn’t have picked better products to ensure that evaluatees could perform the assigned tasks within the time allotment and wouldn’t face materials-related setbacks that improperly-mixed muds can create.”

SikaTile-Ultima Grout, however, received the brightest spotlight in Sika’s booth and on the innovation installation stage, according to the company. Sika’s technical crew performed a full grouting demonstration on a tile wall mockup for gatherings of the industry’s top installers and distributors. Sika said its SikaTile-Ultima Grout’s ready-to-use, easy-to-apply formula kept the demonstrations relatively short, highlighting the time and labor savings the new product brings to jobsites. It also gave audiences the opportunity to discuss with the SikaTile team the cost savings and maintenance-free benefits of the new grout.

“It was very helpful for visitors to see firsthand how our new ready-to-use grout reduced much of the time and labor usually required for tiling installations [as well as] discover how it’s maintenance-free formula eliminates calls back to job sites,” Carroll said. “Paired with one of our high-performance dustless mortars, this timesaving tiling system gives contractors a new level of flexibility they can leverage toward taking additional business.”
