Lancaster, Pa.—Armstrong Flooring has launched two new commercial collections: MedinPure, a PVC-free homogenous sheet for healthcare settings, and Unbound LVT designed for transitions to carpet in adjoining spaces.
The new MedinPure line’s patent-pending formulation offers a solution for healthcare projects where sustainable strategies are a critical factor in overall design intent.
“The MedinPure collection reflects our commitment to innovation and material transparency,” said David Thoresen, senior vice president, product & innovation officer for Armstrong Flooring. “We’re proud to introduce a PVC-free sheet offering that will stand up to the rigorous demands of healthcare spaces, while delivering on our customers’ sustainability requirements.”
MedinPure is a no-polish, low-maintenance solution that features Diamond 10 technology—offering leading scratch, stain, scuff and slip resistance. It is available in 18 colors. The line is free of ortho-phthalates, halogens, isocyanates and Red List Chemicals of Concern. It meets Health Care Without Harm’s Healthy Flooring criteria at the Silver Level; and a third-party certified Declare label is available, verifying Red List-Free status and disclosing material ingredients to 100 parts per million.
The new Unbound line is a 5mm LVT product designed for seamless transitions to carpet in adjoining spaces, eliminating the need for transition strips. It can be installed quickly with a loose lay method, thanks to its non-skid backing. It is available in 27 colors and designs—including a variety of wood, concrete and textile visuals in large formats such as 9 x 59 and 7 x 59 planks and 36 x 36 tiles.
“The Unbound collection offers an easy, intentional color palette inspired by natural dyes,” said Di Anna Borders, vice president, design. “A selection of hickory and time-worn oak finishes offer a complementary contrast to softened concretes and woven textures ideal for a variety of spaces.”
Unbound also features Diamond 10 technology. It’s a low-maintenance solution designed to stand up to the wear and tear of commercial settings for floors that look newer, according to the company.
