City of Industry, Calif. – Johnson Hardwood has announced a strategic shift into several key regions in order to enhance its market presence. Starting Dec. 18, the company expands its direct reach into Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi and New Mexico. Additionally, Johnson will continue to maintain its direct presence in Kentucky—with the exception of Louisville and Henderson, alongside Western Tennessee.

“This final step marks the culmination of a strategic transition for Johnson Hardwood, following a mutual decision to conclude our distribution partnership with E.J. Welch Company in all territories,” said Billy Ko, CEO. “The company is committed to leveraging this transition to enhance service and presence in these vital regions.”

At the same time, Johnson Hardwood announced the opening of a new office, showroom and distribution center in Houston. This modern facility, aimed at improving service and accessibility for its customers, is scheduled to start operations by the end of March 2024. The new direct territories will be mainly serviced by the Houston branch, and Johnson will have backup inventories on the East and West coasts to pull from as needed, Ko added.
