Calhoun, Ga.— Creative Flooring Solutions (CFL), a manufacturer of laminate, wood and luxury vinyl tile, has begun building out its executive team to support its new manufacturing facility here, which will employ up to 300 people by the end of next year.

The first to join the team was Tony Swink as director of manufacturing. Swink has more than 30 years of experience in the flooring industry and will be overseeing the launch and operation of the new plant once it opens in the Spring of 2021. As a local Calhoun resident, Swink has been active in the Calhoun community serving on the school board for 15 years. “I am very excited to be a part of the CFL family,” Swink said. “I look forward to establishing our manufacturing site and creating jobs in Gordon County. Our company culture and leadership will drive us to be the preferred employer in northwest Georgia.”

The second to join the team is Christi Sparks, who has more than 20 years of experience in human resources in the flooring industry. She will be the HR director for CFL USA and will be handling all hiring and talent recruitment. “We have an enormous amount of talent among the floorcovering community within our geographical reach,” Sparks said. “We now have an amazing opportunity to bring a global leader, CFL, to north Georgia and pair with the expertise in our business. I am thrilled to add talented team members to our extraordinary team.”

The most recent addition to the team is Mike Roloff, the new director of finance for CFL USA. Roloff has more than 20 years of experience for global conglomerates such as Motorola & Textron and Astec Industries. “Prior to coming to CFL, I thought I had experienced everything in accounting and finance, but with the new plant’s start up every day is something exciting and new” he said.

In the weeks ahead, CFL USA said it will begin looking to hire electric and maintenance technicians who will be willing to travel abroad and start training this fall. Most of the plant’s work force hiring will begin in 2021. Additional information regarding job inquiries can be directed to jobsUSA@CFLflooring.com.
