When choosing your tiles it is important to make sure they are suitable for use outdoors. Slip resistance is also important, so look out for an ‘R’ rating on outdoor tiles that is 10 or higher. PorcelPave is an outdoor only product that ranges from 18mm to 20mm in thickness and is available in many different styles.

The porcelain tiles come in two varieties; a 10mm indoor tile and co-ordinating 20mm outdoor tile, and are available in a range of gorgeous colours. These can be used independently, or combined to create a seamless transition between indoors and your outdoor space. No Mess – Mortar, adhesive and grout are not needed.

They can be adhered directly to a wall using mortar or other adhesives, or they can be installed using a mechanical fastening system that attaches the veneer to a substructure. Once these have hardened the tiles can be installed using a suitable external tile adhesive. See the below demonstration video for further information or get in touch if you have any questions. The varieties of glass tile allow for endless customization options, and its versatility opens the door to indoor and outdoor projects alike. Glass tile should never be bonded to wood substrates and organic adhesives are not typically recommended for use with glass. The end result can vary by color, texture, thickness, size, and shape.

Remember to consider both the cost of the materials (stone plus mortar/adhesive) and any additional installation expenses (I.e. Clean and Seal : After the mortar / adhesive has set, clean off any excess grout from the surface of the stone veneer. Is stone veneer suitable for outdoor use?
