technical college programs Dalton—The Floor Covering Education Foundation (FCEF) welcomed a new partnership with Sika-DriTac that will help support technical college programs across the nation. Sika-DriTac said it has committed to providing supplies and assisting with training demonstrations for FCEF programs.

“We’re thrilled to be working with FCEF as they roll out more technical college programs,” said Mike Croes, vice president – interior finishing for Sika Corporation. “Having the proper tools and supplies at their disposal will put these students in the utmost position to succeed and we’re going to make sure they have the best adhesives and installation solutions available to help them learn. Our trainers are experts in their field and appreciate the opportunity to share the value of our products through demonstrations. I know they are going to really enjoy teaching students through these programs.”

Sika-DriTac has over 65 years of experience manufacturing flooring adhesives and installation products that are made in the USA. They are a leader in sound and moisture control flooring installation solutions. They’re also committed to creating environmentally friendly products and offer a full line of zero VOC, zero solvent products.

“Sika-DriTac is really stepping up and we’re thankful for all their support,” said Jim Aaron, executive director of FCEF.

Kaye Whitener, director of operations at FCEF, added, “We want students to be aware of the difference a quality product makes in an installation. These are the things that will help them succeed and provide the best service possible for their customers.”

FCEF’s pilot program at Georgia Northwestern Technical College has had two 10-week, non-accredited cohorts since its launch in January. In August, the program will shift to a 15-week accredited program. FCEF has also started conversations with many other schools across the nation and has several new programs launching at the end of the year.

“I hope that all suppliers that benefit from the flooring industry will step up in some way to help support our initiatives,” Aaron added. “This is our industry’s biggest challenge, and we need everyone’s support.”
