With just over week to go now until Coverings opens its doors in Atlanta, Tile Addict now turns the focus on another of Europe’s tiling powerhouses, Spain. As February’s Cevisama exhibition showed in abundance, Spanish manufacturers have taken full advantage of advances in production technology to redefine the boundaries of what is possible in tile design. The results speak for themselves.
The Street Art collection from Saloni takes its inspiration from street art graphics that are rich and full of nuances. The collection’s design balance results in a timeless product, that sports a neutral and natural chromatic range, but one with a modern, urban and industrial spirit. Street Art is available in four colors, plus a variety of sizes and special pieces.
The Andorra Collection from Oset features a stone-inspired fish scale pattern design in a 330 by 330mm (13 by 1in) format. These multi-purpose porcelain wall and floor tiles are frost-resistant and thus ideal for both indoor and outdoor use. The range is available in four stone inspired colours.
The Galaxy Collection by Fanal features subtle fragmented lines to add subtle modern style to floors and walls. It is available in 316 by 900mm and 325 by 600mm formats and white, black, blue, and beige colour options.
Imitating the veining of natural marble with a unique twist, the Lincoln collection by Colorker is available in white, a raised window relief and a graphic grey pattern with slight color variation. The range is available in six sizes of varying thickness.
Tile of Spain, the international brand representing 125 ceramic tile manufacturers in the Spanish Ceramic Tile Manufacturer’s Association (ASCER), will host a booth in the centre of the Spanish Pavilion that will feature educational seminars and video presentations.
