Arlington, Va.—Coverings, the largest international tile and stone exhibition and conference in North America, has unveiled the second Coverings Connected webinar schedule and opened registration. The multi-session, digital experience is scheduled to take place Wednesday, Nov. 18, 2020, on the Coverings website.

Attendees of the digital experience will be presented with a variety of complimentary tile and stone industry content, including three live educational webinars that offer Continuing Education Units (CEUs), on-demand content and installation demonstrations. The event will also host press conferences for trade press members with the latest news from several of the owner organizations.

“At a time when it is more important than ever to stay connected, we are pleased to continue the Coverings Connected series with brand-new content and learning opportunities designed to keep tile and stone professionals updated regarding the latest industry insights,” said Jennifer Hoff, president of Taffy Event Strategies LLC, the event management firm for Coverings.

The Coverings Connected November event will feature three live webinar sessions that focus on the state of the industry moving toward 2021 and highlights the stone fabricator, specifier and remodeling communities. Session moderators and panelists leading these three webinars are known experts in the tile and stone industry.

The first webinar session, “State of the Fabrication Industry,” will take place from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. EST, and will be led by James Hieb, CAE and CEO of the Natural Stone Institute. The interactive panel discussion will address the timely issues of virtual customer meetings, supply chain challenges and staffing. Registrants can expect to gain key insight as to how leaders in the stone fabrication industry are overcoming challenges and implementing best practices within their organizations.

“Tile, Stone and the State of the Specifications Market,” will take place from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. EST. Edie Cohen, deputy editor of Interior Design magazine, will lead a panel of specifiers from across the hospitality, health care and commercial sectors. Cohen and the panelists will discuss the ways in which current events, including the global pandemic, have impacted tile and stone specification. Participants of the panel will share their insights in regard to market trends, changes and predictions for 2021.

“Opportunities and Trends in the Remodeling Market,” will take place from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. EST. Bart Bettiga, executive director of the National Tile Contractors Association (NTCA), will moderate a panel discussion on the influx of residential remodeling jobs and opportunities for contractors that were created by the widespread stay-at-home orders. The panelists will analyze the prospects and styles happening in the remodeling market, including their impact on tile and stone. This session additionally will address other timely topics for remodelers and contractors, such as identifying customer trends and uncovering issues affecting pricing, scheduling and access to materials.

Various Coverings Connected sponsorship opportunities are available to companies interested in promoting their businesses and brands through active digital engagement.

The third and final Coverings Connected digital experience prior to Coverings 2021 will take place Tuesday, Feb. 23, 2021, on National Tile Day. Information about the event will be released in the near future.
