Atlanta—The Flooring Markets continued their commitment to better the community by donating to Habitat for Humanity ReStore and Green Oaks School during the 2020 Southeast and Southwest Flooring Markets.

The Flooring Markets attracts local buyers and dealers looking to meet with their suppliers to conduct business for the upcoming year. The Southeast Flooring Market (SEFM) took place at the Cobb Galleria Centre in Atlanta, with over 1,000 buyers, a 20% increase over the 2019 market. The Southwest Flooring Market (SWFM) took place at the AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, with over 2,000 buyers in attendance, an increase of 227% over the 2019 market.

Traditionally, the Flooring Markets’ exhibitors donate flooring products and other booth items to a local charity at the end of each market. This year, SEFM continued its long-standing partnership with Cobb County, Habitat for Humanity ReStore. The SWFM partnered with Green Oaks School, a North Texas school specializing in adult learning for individuals with intellectual disabilities.

“We were overwhelmed with the responses that we received from our exhibiting companies,” stated Barbara Stroup, managing partner. “Sixteen companies donated a combined 27 pallets of flooring material that was loaded out to our noted charities. It is very heartwarming that our exhibitors not only support our markets but take the extra step to support the local region in which we hold our markets.”
