ReVISION HouseCalhoun, Ga.—Mohawk partnered with Green Builder Media to floor the ReVISION House Austin project, a collaborative effort that explores an innovative approach to sustainable home renovations.

“Innovation is at the heart of everything we do at Mohawk, and ReVISION House Austin reflects this drive,” said Scott Gibson, senior director of sales operations for Mohawk Builder + Multifamily. “We continually push boundaries to support builders and homeowners, striving for sustainability at every possible turn.”

Throughout the renovation process, audiences follow Tiana Cooper, leading influencer and lifestyle blogger, as she renovates her home toward enhanced sustainability goals. Working closely with Cooper and the Green Builder team, Mohawk’s experts offered valuable flooring insights to support the renovation, according to the company.

“When embarking on the ReVISION House Austin project, we were clear that we wanted to partner with Mohawk because of their extensive product line as well as the strength of their corporate sustainability story,” said Sara Gutterman, CEO of Green Builder Media. “Mohawk provided beautiful, durable flooring products as well as extensive industry knowledge, which made product selection and installation seamless.”

Cooper and her team, including Gutterman, CR Herro of Meritage Homes and Studio C² Architecture + Planning, selected three of Mohawk’s latest 2021 introductions. For the guest rooms, Mohawk’s EverStrand contributes to a cleaner home and a cleaner planet. EverStrand’s strong fiber is made from high-quality PET, which is engineered to resist dirt and stains for enhanced longevity. The master and guest bathrooms, along with the utility room, feature Pergo Extreme luxury vinyl tile. Showcasing a realistic concrete stone visual, Cooper’s Pergo Extreme pick is dent proof, kid proof and waterproof. UltraWood was installed in the rest of the house. UltraWood features Mohawk’s new WetProtect technology that offers a lifetime surface and subfloor waterproof warranty.

“We are grateful to provide this expertise toward sustainability,” Gibson said. “We hope our efforts support other first-time home buyers who want to choose the best floors for their own sustainable renovation projects.”

The grand reveal of ReVISION House Austin is scheduled for early Nov. 2021.
