Founded in Chicago in 1950, Good Design is organized annually by The Chicago Athenaeum Museum of Architecture and Design in cooperation with the European Centre for Architecture, Art, Design and Urban Studies. It recognizes the latest, most advanced products and designs for their innovation and invention. Good Design covers new consumer products, graphics and packaging designed and manufactured in Europe, Asia, Africa and North and South America.

Following are the Armstrong Flooring products that received the award in 2019:

Rigid Core Vantage brings to life the exacting detail of natural wood looks and is built to maintain its beauty—even under high traffic, high moisture and high impact. With its combination of realistic design and durability, Rigid Core Vantage planks are suitable for either residential or commercial applications.

Alterna Plank with Diamond 10 technology captures the natural beauty of stone, ceramic or porcelain, while retaining warmth, absorbing sound and feeling more forgiving to your feet. Alterna engineered tile features on-trend, stone-inspired visuals, enhanced surface texture and longer and wider 8 x 48-inch planks. They can be installed with or without grout and can also be used as decorative accent walls or backsplashes.

Striations and Migrations BBT with Diamond 10 technology coating are complementary collections that deliver a PVC-free sustainable flooring tile combining biophilic design, reduced maintenance and long-term performance. They offer a sophisticated palette of organic tones coupled with modular installation options to provide optimum design flexibility for education, retail, health care and office spaces.

Winning products are featured on the Good Design website.
