Mountville, Pa.—AHF Products has rolled out HydroBlok, billed as a 100% waterproof, genuine hardwood flooring from Hartco, featuring Cleantivity antimicrobial technology and exclusively available at independent flooring retailers.

Made for everyday life, HydroBlok is a White Oak and Hickory engineered hardwood flooring collection infused with proprietary technology that is said to provide top-down moisture protection for up to 36 hours. The three-part system protects against water damage and a proprietary coating on plank ends and edges seals out water to help protect against everyday spills, wet moping or pet accidents from absorbing into the wood or leaking between planks into the subfloor. The floors can be installed in any room of the home, including kitchens, baths and basements.

Cleantivity Antimicrobial Technology

Hartco’s HartGuard Ultrashield coating system provides is infused with an integrated technology to not only provide superior resistance to scratches and stains, but also offers easy cleanability. The Cleantivity antimicrobial technology inhibits the growth of bacteria on the floor surface, giving homeowners an added degree of confidence that bacteria will not survive on their hardwood floors and that their home is cleaner and fresher, the company said.

HydroBlok offers a wide variety of colors and textures in a matte, low-gloss finish. Authentic wire-brushed White Oak or hand-scraped Hickory planks feature the style and beauty of real hardwood. The collection is easy to install with a sturdy locking system. No acclimation time is needed, and the attached IXPE pad is a premium acoustical underlayment for easy installation and sound absorption.

In-store merchandising is designed to ensure the 100% waterproof feature visually stands out from other competitive displays that offer only water-resistant wood flooring, the company said, and the 10-SKU stacker displays includes Cleantivity stickers to bring attention to the floors’ antimicrobial features.
