Stick to a light color palette. Choose a Light Color Palette. Keep things light when choosing colors for you apartment. While rich, darker colors have a tendency to make spaces appear smaller to the eye, light shades open things back up. Then, add in one darker accent color to ensure things stay visually interesting.
