HomeCommercialArmstrong refreshes Medintone sheet collection

MeditoneMountville, Pa.—AHF Products is resetting the standard for inspired design and proven performance with the refresh of the Armstrong Flooring Medintone homogeneous sheet flooring collection, introducing new on-trend colors and delivering tried-and-true commercial performance. Engineered for spaces demanding superior infection control, the flooring helps to protect the health and well-being of occupants in healing and learning environments and can withstand heavy traffic and staining for a true low-maintenance floor.

The collection features a complete spectrum of new soft, tonal neutrals and bright pops of color. Inspired by biophilia and natural healing, Medintone promotes a sense of well-being through a carefully curated texture and color palette. Thirty-one colors coordinate across the Armstrong Flooring Continuum Solutions portfolio, providing multiple options for unique design concepts. The true through-pattern construction resists abrasion and other wear created by heavy equipment, such as carts in healthcare spaces or the frequent rearrangement of desks and chairs in educational settings.

“Healthcare settings such as hospitals and doctors’ offices require a clean, comfortable and safe design—and that design also should contribute to patient healing and staff well-being,” said Yon Hinkle, vice president-resilient, AHF Products. “We have a 30-year-plus track record of high performance in sterile and aseptic environments now coupled with improved stain, scratch and scruff resistance, which makes Medintone a perfect choice for healthcare. And a soft palette of colors allows designers to create settings with a warmer, home-like ambiance that can help alleviate anxiety and promote healing.”

From daycare centers to university dorm rooms, the new color offerings complement coordinating design materials, help orient visitors and create engaging learning environments. “The washable surface cleans and dries quickly using common maintenance supplies, making Medintone a low-maintenance, optional polish solution,” Hinkle said.

Diamond 10 Technology with enhanced traction

Diamond 10 Technology is a patented innovation that uses cultured diamonds to provide the ultimate scratch, stain and scuff resistance. It is a no-polish, easy-to-clean solution that is designed so that the floor looks beautiful for years to come, despite daily maintenance and rigorous disinfection protocols. Diamond 10 offers ease of maintenance—no polishing, stripping or restorative maintenance required.

Medintone is easy to heat weld and flash cove for spaces demanding superior infection control. Because polishing is not necessary, required maintenance minimizes cleaning time and disruption.

Medintone contains no Ortho-Phthalates or heavy metals. All AHF sheet products are low VOC emissions—third-party FloorScore certified that products are tested and comply with the California Department of Public Health (CDPH v1.1) Standard Method for Testing and Evaluating Volatile Organic Chemical (VOC) Emissions. Medintone complies with LEED credit for Indoor Air Quality. Health Product Declaration (HPD) and third-party certified Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) are available. The product features a 10-year commercial limited warranty.
