Carrollton, Texas—LM Flooring said it is aggressively rebuilding its hardwood flooring portfolio and introducing new and innovative products. The new LM Flooring collections are designed to bring value to channel partners under the leadership of AHF Products, which announced the acquisition of LM Flooring last spring.

“Our passion for quality and design is reflected in our more than 150 styles of wood flooring, all carefully crafted by skilled artisans,” said Kevin Whaley, vice president of sales and product, LM Flooring. “With advanced technologies, we achieve the highest precision in wood milling and fine Italian finishing.”

New this year are Grand Mesa and Big Sky. The new designs will join the current Nature’s Reserve collection, which offers the flooring retailer a differentiated product to sell—and a great story to tell consumers, according to the company. Grand Mesa and Big Sky were created by product development manager & principal designer, Patrick Pusateri.

Grand Mesa features wide-width, long planks in North American hickory and hard maple. “We chose sliced face American hickory and sliced face North American hard maple, with a color palette that is very much on trend and forward-facing utilizing naturals, lights, taupe and earthtones,” Pusateri said.

LM’s new Big Sky collection captures the natural beauty of the European white oak species, with subtle stains and tints inspired by nature. Its color inspiration comes from vast natural landscapes of shoreline, deserts and mountains. The planks are 9/16-inch thick x 9-inch ultra-wide planks, in lengths up to 86 inches with a dry sawn European white oak veneer. Pusateri said he created an all new variable brushed visual with a distinctive texture drawn from stone formations, weathered fences and wild animals. “Our process works with the age of the grain in each individual plank,” Pusateri said. “Older growth grain stays tight and mostly smooth, while younger growth accepts more pronounced brushing and texture. Having variable texture within the same plank highlights the natural beauty and characteristics of the white oak species.”

While LM is an established brand in the U.S., AHF said it will continue building upon LM Flooring’s existing business and will continue to grow and drive the brand for channel partners. “We intend to continue growing the brand and deliver beautiful, distinctive hardwood floors under the LM name to our retail partners and help them to grow their business,” Whaley said. “Through AHF Products, investments have already been made in the Cambodia facility to increase production and strengthen our base in the U.S. as well as other parts of the world.”
