Calgary, AB, Canada—Opus Floors introduces Naturcork—the first, 24 x 36, 8mm thick, digitally printed, glue down cork tile. With this introduction of digital printing technology on cork tiles, the market is no longer limited to the expected look of a cork floor, opening the door to unrealized potential, according to the company.

“Opus Floors Canada has been presenting Naturcork to independent flooring retailers, across the United States, with an overwhelming response,” said Vern Verkley, president of Opus Floors Canada. “Dealers are so excited, they are coming up with innovative new ways of merchandising, while positioning Naturcork front and center in their showroom.”

According to the company, some highlights of Naturcork are:

  • 24 x 36, 8mm thick, solid cork tiles.
  • Water resistant
  • Child friendly
  • 1000 DPI printing resolution
  • 16 tile repeat and natural cork characteristics making every tile unique
  • Life time residential/10 year commercial warranty

The product is inventoried in the east and west for the United States and Canada and features 4th generation finishing technology. This makes these pre-finished, cork floor tiles, “best in class” performers for commercial and residential applications like; kitchens, bathrooms and basements, according to the company. A sealer coat of site applied finish is also possible, making these floors optimal for commercial, institutional and hospitality applications, according to the company.
