This week Tile Addict is taking a look at ten stunning new ranges from Ceramics of Italy members that we are likely to see next week at Coverings.
Two companies have a soft Nordic appeal on offer, with gentle greys and blues, and textures inspired by nature and fabrics. From Ceramiche Keope their new porcelain stoneware takes its surface and appearance from limestone, with natural variation in veining and colouration.
Chorus comes in five colours; Beige, Grey, Silver, Tobacco, and White, each of which exemplify Scandinavian simplicity and add calm to interior spaces. There are eight sizes ranging from a large 1,200 by 1,200mm (64 by 64in) slab to a 97 by 600mm (4 by 32in) tile strip that are suitable for both walls and floors. Their 20mm (3/4in) thickness means the tiles’ natural beauty can be used internally and externally.
Pat from Fap Ceramiche offers a chilled charm with pale pastels and fabric inspired designs. There are seven shades to choose from as well as two textured decor elements, adding style and character to interior spaces.
For further visual intrigue the effects afforded by the Pixel insert and Jewel Listel add texture and light play with a reflective and scratched surface. The tile options are perfect for both commercial and residential areas, and the collections trim options provide a detailed finish.
The intriguing use of shape can be seen in both Mosaico Triangolo and Mosaico Splash which plays with triangles and squares, as well as the colour and textures seen throughout the collection to create geometric effects that work harmoniously with the rest of the pieces.
