Chicago—For the first time since June 2019, the commercial design community will gather in-person for NeoCon 2021, which returns to theMART here Oct. 4-6. This year’s event is themed “Design Anew” and will include new product launches from leading and emerging brands, as well as presentations from industry leaders.

Safety measures and protocols will be in place for NeoCon with attendees required to provide proof of COVID-19 vaccination or a negative COVID-19 test within 72 hours of the show. Masks or face coverings are required for entry to the building.

Following is a curated selection of several new commercial offerings that will be showcased at NeoCon 2021:

ARMSTRONG FLOORING

The design of Coalesce luxury flooring was influenced by the transformation of earthly materials into textiles and mosaics from the energy of the artisan touch. Inspired by mosaic artisan techniques, Geome features a geometric pattern with subtle color shifts, while Oxidize has an anodized metal look, similar to glazed ceramic. Both designs are available in 18 x 36 tiles. Made with patented Diamond 10 technology, Coalesce is a low-maintenance solution ideal for commercial setting

KÄHRS

Seeing the need for hardwood flooring with more durable properties, Kährs applied its expert craftsmanship to create the Life collection. Available in wide and narrow plank options and in 10 colors ranging from light to dark, these floors provide the best of both worlds: a beautiful, real wood floor with properties close to LVT—all at an accessible price. An innovative matte finish provides best-in-class wear resistance as well as waterproof properties, so there is less worry about everyday spills.

PATCRAFT

Reverse is Patcraft’s first Cradle to Cradle Certified Gold (v3.1) collection. Reflecting Patcraft’s commitment to sustainable design, the Reverse collection uses a carefully curated selection of materials to raise the bar on material health standards. Reverse has a low embodied carbon footprint thanks to the high percentage of post-industrial recycled content in its backing and a yarn system that offers 100% post- industrial recycled content allocated from waste minimization and collection efforts.

TARKETT

Celebrating the art and craft of antique textiles, the new Modern Refinement collection from Tarkett elevates the classic beauty of the products with modern technique. The collection is curated with three new soft surface patterns and a digitally printed luxury vinyl tile that all work together to add a sense of hand-crafted excellence to any design. Knot Stitch is the most textural and luxurious pattern in the series, the result of Tarkett designers’ admiration for hand-knotted textiles.

CROSSVILLE

Crossville’s Ardesia is a Spacco is a porcelain tile panel collection whose high- definition surface aims to faithfully recreate the structural depth of Italian split-gauged slate. The high performance, through-body porcelain’s 1,200mm x 3,000mm size format is wider than traditional porcelain panels, and its 5.6mm-thickness varies up to 1.5mm across the surface to realistically mimic natural slate’s dimensional attributes. Mesh backing offers enhanced strength and durability for use on floors and walls in commercial or residential settings. Two colors are available: Bianco and Nero.

MOHAWK GROUP

Mohawk Group announces the launch of Data Tide, an innovative collection of modular carpet planks that seeks to explore the symbiotic relationship between nature and data through the visualization of water. Data Tide celebrates the unique ecosystem of estuaries where freshwater and saltwater converge to sequester blue carbon and support biodiversity. Mohawk Group’s design team used data sets from environmental studies of greenhouse gases to create biophilic patterns through a custom-built data visualization tool. With this graphic interpretation of the data, the collection celebrates the positive ecological influence of blue carbon capture. Available in eight colorways, Data Tide’s 12 x 36 modular carpet planks feature gradations that flow from light to dark in order to mimic transitioning waters.

SHAW CONTRACT

The Dialogue collection from Shaw Contract is a celebration of communication and its unique ability to foster understanding and connection. Dialogue carpet tile provides diversity and choice to design unique and layered moments that live cohesively within a space. Dialogue provides a soft foundation for touch-down areas, seating areas or areas for welcome, creating a warm, inviting space for contemplation. Dialogue carpet tile is optimized for low embodied carbon and is carbon neutral. Additionally, all Shaw Contract carpet manufacturing locations are carbon neutral.
