Flooring exhibitors came out big winners at the 30th edition of the Best of NeoCon Awards in Chicago earlier this week.

In the Area Rugs category, Mohawk Group earned a Gold Award for Rheo Morph. The company also took home top honors in Broadloom for Urban Shores. The Patcraft brand earned Silver for its Inspired Connection line.

Mohawk Group earned three Best of NeoCon Awards.

The Gold Award in the Modular Carpet category went to Shaw Contract in recognition of its Collective Collection, while Patcraft earned the Silver Award for Spatial Palette. Mohawk Group won the Sustainability Award for Data Tide.

Di Anna Borders, VP design, Armstrong Flooring

In the Hard Surface/LVT category, Armstrong Flooring took home the Gold for its Rest & Refuge Rigid core line, while Aspecta won Silver. (Armstrong Flooring also scored a Gold Award in the Healthcare-Flooring category for its MedinPure PVC-free sheet vinyl line.) Meanwhile, in the Hard Surface—Natural Flooring Materials category, Tarkett took home the Gold for Color Splash Speckled Tile.

Lastly, in the Specialty Flooring category, Shaw Contract ran away with both the Sustainability and Innovation Awards for Bottle Floor.

Shaw Contract’s Collective Collection took home the Gold in the Modular Carpet category.

“We tip our hat to all of the Best of NeoCon entrants and extend our congratulations to the winners,” said Lisa Simonian, vice president of marketing for NeoCon. “It is no small feat to garner this level of recognition and accolades from such a discerning group of industry professionals.”

A total of 97 awards across 52 categories were presented at NeoCon. Categories included flooring, furniture, textiles, technology, lighting and interior and outdoor surfaces. Product entrants were evaluated during a two-day, in-person review by a diverse jury of leading architects, designers, specifiers and facility managers. The contest judges boast expertise spanning commercial, healthcare, institutional and hospitality sectors.
