Interestingly enough, I came across MotoArt in a magazine as I was streaking across the Colorado Rockies on a red-eye flight from Las Vegas. It seemed appropriate, because the company designs home and office furniture and other items made from vintage airplane parts. Based in El Segundo, Calif., the company produces what can only be described as quirky objects, such as lighting made from the jack screw of a DC-9 and chairs made from the ejector seats of a B-52 bomber and an F-4 fighter jet. Some of the pieces are cool in a Man Cave kind of way, while others look like they should be in a museum. You be the judge.
