Karndean introduces Opus stone looks

Export, Pa.—Karndean Designflooring introduced new stone looks to the 20mil Opus glue-down luxury vinyl tile (LVT) flooring range, including Iberian-inspired patterned tiles and additional sizes in existing colorways.

Iberian-Inspired Tiles

Inspired by the artistic beauty of traditional Moroccan architecture brought to the Iberian Peninsula during the 8th century, this pattern combines geometric forms in a non-uniform patchwork arrangement that incorporates curves and crests influenced by medieval Spain. Casablanca shows off this design in a classic monochromatic palette of grays, while Marrakesh possesses a mix of chalky, terra color tones for a playful look.

Limestone

After discovering a unique batch of limestone at an English quarry, both faces of the stone were used to create two individual designs within one product. One face of the stone was initially etched, to create a bleached effect, before undergoing a high-pressure brushing “satino” process to uncover its natural character. The second design reflects the original cut of the opposing face of the stone. These designs were fused together to form what can be interpreted as a stained concrete visual.

Available in two colors, Fumo has smokey brown and gray tones for a sleek concrete-like appearance, while Lutum features darker, charcoal tones that allow the pearlescent veining to show through.

Originally made available in an 18 x 24 tile format, Fumo is now available in a corresponding 18 x 3 parquet accent tile, allowing designers to scale the format to different sized spaces. Accent tiles are perfect for use in small areas, including bathrooms and entryways or in adjoining rooms when used alongside the larger tiles.
