NALFAWashington, D.C.—The North American Laminate Flooring Association (NALFA) met in March for its annual spring meeting. Traditionally held at North Carolina State University, the association’s academic and testing house member, NALFA members said they were thrilled to be back in Raleigh, N.C. together.

According to the association, representatives from regular manufacturing members such as Classen Group, Kaindl Flooring GmbH, Kronospan USA, Mannington Mills, Mohawk Industries, Shaw Industries, Swiss Krono and Torlys Inc. attended the meeting as well as associate members DMX Plastics Limited, MP Global Products, Pak-Lite Inc. and Selit North America. Vendor/supplier members Arauco NA and Arclin USA Inc. joined the meeting and NALFA’s retailer member, Floor & Decor, was in attendance.

NALFA gained three new members this year from the molding product category. These molding manufacturers are considered associate members of NALFA and have formed a committee focused on molding-specific specifications and standards, according to NALFA. The members include Mohawk Industries, Versatrim and Zamma Corporation.

According to the association, the group met over the course of three days and discussed a wide range of topics. Danushka Nanayakkara-Skillington of the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) gave an informative presentation to the group that included forecasts, housing market analysis and industry surveys.
