Jackson, Miss.-The National Tile Contractors Association (NTCA) has announced a robust fall training schedule, beginning with 13, three-hour workshops; four full-day regional training events; and a pair of two-day Art Glass Panel training events in September.

The September workshops, which are free, cover topics such as “Ins and Outs of Layout for Contractors”; “Tile Matters: Best Practices for the Pros”; “Installation Failures–Could it be Me?”; and “Tile Technology: Adhesives, Trowels and Lippage.” The workshops are open to tile installers and contractors as well as sales personnel and the A&D community.

The September schedule, which takes place in North Carolina, Michigan, Indiana, Ohio and California, is as follows:

● 9/13 Louisville Tile, South Bend, Ind.

● 9/19 Floor & Decor, Hilliard, Ohio

● 9/20 Floor & Decor, Reynoldsville, Ohio

● 9/21 Floor & Decor, Warrenville, Ohio

● 9/26 Louisville Tile, Fort Wayne, Ind.

● 9/27 Floor & Decor, Fullerton, Calif.

● 9/28 The Tile Shop, Centerville, Ohio

During the regional training sessions, which take place in New Jersey, New York and Pennsylvania, contractors can learn about gauged porcelain tile panels/slabs (GPTP). GPTP/slabs training will teach attendees how to install porcelain panels with confidence and accuracy. Learn new tile industry standards and methods for installing GPTP, how GPTP is made, where it can be used and special tools, setting materials and techniques required to install it. The four free, day-long regional training events are as follows:

● 9/13 – Sponsored and hosted by Floor & Decor, Commack, N.Y.

● 9/21 – Sponsored by Crossville; hosted by Garden State Tile, Warminster, Pa.

● 9/28 – Sponsored and hosted by Floor & Decor, Wayne, N.J.

Lastly, the Art Glass panel installation training sessions, scheduled to take place in Arizona and California, entail two days of intensive instruction designed to show qualified tile contractors how to install luxurious, high-end Vetrite glass tile panels from Sicis. Note: Qualified contractors must sign up for both days. Attendees who fully complete all course requirements will be eligible for manufacturer certification for Art Glass Panel installation and will be placed on a preferred installer/contractor list. They will also receive a Certificate of Course Completion from the NTCA.
