Now that May has arrived, Minnesota’s Spring is ramping up. At Rubble Tile, we’re heading into the heart of Spring with a full slate of tile and design events that are sure to provide valuable information and insights. Here’s a rundown of this season’s events.
Lunch and TEC Demo at Rubble Tile’s Warehouse
On Friday, May 10, we’re hosting a lunch event at the new Rubble Tile Warehouse. In addition to lunch for all guests, TEC will be there to conduct a product demo on their setting material, Ultimate 6 Plus Mortar. TEC will also have free product and gear on hand, so don’t miss out!
This TEC mortar is a convenient material for tile setters because it’s suitable for use in 98% of all tile installations. “One & Done” is the tagline they use, because Ultimate 6 Plus significantly reduces the need for back buttering and can help trim down time required for each job.
Rubble Tile at Duluth’s Annual Design Expo
On Thursday, May 16, we will have a table at the 2nd Annual Design Expo in Duluth, at Clyde Iron Works, 2920 West Michigan Street, Duluth, MN, 55806. The Design Expo features trending products from over 30 vendors, an Ethics CEU, LUNCH, and Happy Hour (3-5).
The Trade Show runs from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. If you’re in the Duluth area, this event is a must-attend for design professionals.
The presentations and products alone are worth the visit, and the venue is the icing on the cake.
The Clyde Ironworks in Duluth
The Clyde Iron Works went from manufacturing machines that could lift 500 tons to a superlative event space with a food & catering menu that’s as well-regarded as the beautifully-restored factory itself.
A three-year restoration project has transformed a 36,000 square foot factory into a gathering place for family and friends, as a premier restaurant, bar and event center in northern Minnesota.
This year, Minneapolis St. Paul Magazine is launching a new event for all things design in the Twin Cities. Home & Design Week will run from June 1-7.
Beginning June 1st, you’ll have special access to a series of exclusive events designed to inspire—as well as actionable takeaways—to help create your dream home.
Meet and learn from industry experts and influencers who are designing, creating, and building some of the most beautiful (and photo-worthy) spaces in the Twin Cities. And, Mpls/St. Paul Mag editors will be popping up around town to be a part of the conversations.
Our primary event that week happens on Tuesday, June 4. From 4 p.m.–7 p.m., we’re hosting an event at our showroom that includes a CEU presentation on “Color in Depth.” Catherine Vollmer of Mosa Tile will present on topics such as:
- A brief overview of color theory
- How color reacts with light and other colors
- How colors effect our emotions
- Color forecast
- How tile gets its color
- Inspirations of how to use tile color in your project
This event will appeal to homeowners, designers, and architects alike. Through AIA and IDCEC, the presentation is approved for 1 LU in the Health, Safety, and Welfare category.
