GPTP/S systemsOrlando, Fla.—Sika, a global pioneer of specialty industrial chemicals, will showcase SikaTile gauged porcelain tile panel and slab (GPTP/S) systems and grout solutions at Coverings 2023, to be held here at the Orange County Convention Center. The nation’s best contractors and distributors are encouraged to visit booth #3638 April 18 to 21 to meet Sika representatives and explore the bottom-to-top systems designed for the growing GPTP/S market.

“Installing gauged porcelain panels and applying grout demand skill and the right materials,” said Tom Carroll, Sika senior product manager. “The contractors who visit our booth certainly have the skills for the jobs. They come to us for the right materials. Sika has more than a century of quality behind its name, so we are happy to build on that trust by supplying high-performance, easy-to-use products.”

Attendees will also learn about SikaTile grout solutions formulated to eliminate job site callbacks by visiting the venue’s Installation Innovation Stage April 19 at 2:10 p.m.

Sika representatives will be on hand at the booth to discuss the importance of surface preparation and the need to achieve flat surfaces using SikaLevel-025 Patch. Visitors will also learn how SikaTile-200 Fracture Guard Rapid prevents existing or eventual substrate cracks from transmitting through to the GPTP/S surface.

Also on display are dustless mortars formulated to achieve the needed bond strengths and application times associated with GPTP/S installations: SikaTile-475 LHT Premium Set and SikaTile-500 LHT Lite. Finally, visitors will see how high-performance SikaTile-815 Secure Grout delivers hard, durable joints while Sikasil N Plus silicone sealant delivers expansion joints strong enough for GPTP/S installations.

Additionally, Sika technical representatives will present their popular demonstration, “End Unwanted Callbacks,” at the Installation Innovation Stage. Here, visitors will learn how various SikaTile grout products perform in different tiling scenarios. High-performance SikaTile-815 Secure Grout, ready-to-use SikaTile Ultima Grout and SikaTile-825 Epoxy Grout will be prepared and applied to tile surfaces, providing visitors an up-close experience with the innovative grouting technologies.
