Retailers of the Year 2022: Treasure Coast, Bob Wagner’s Flooring America

HomeFeatured PostRetailers of the Year 2022: Treasure Coast, Bob Wagner's Flooring America

retailers of the yearSpecialty flooring retailers are the drivers of this industry. Their success fuels every channel, from residential retail to commercial. To honor these businesses, FCNews is publishing its inaugural Retailers of the Year issue. It’s an effort to call attention to those retailers who are excelling or differentiating themselves in some aspect of their business. In this issue, suppliers and vendors nominated retailers who they believe deserved to be featured and why they stand out from the pack.

FCNews’ Retailers of the Year 2022 issue features some of the industry’s most accomplished dealers from influential buying groups as well as smaller retailers with no group affiliation. In other words, it reflects the retail industry as a whole.

In choosing their top retailer partners, suppliers looked beyond sales volume to other key attributes such as communication skills, trust, company culture and even benevolence as differentiating factors. Suppliers/vendors nominated up to four retailers (or distributors, in some cases) for consideration and explained why they stand out. FCNews then narrowed down the winners based on the scope of merit attributed to each.

Throughout this week and next, please visit FCNews.net each day as a new winner from the Retailers of the Year issue will be showcased. Today’s highlight is The Dixie Group’s nominations and winners: Treasure Coast Carpet and Interiors and Bob Wagner’s Flooring America.

What The Dixie Group had to say:

After operating their family store in South Dakota, Jerry and Judy Hardin decided to make the move to south Florida. That’s where the Hardins started this business 33 years ago in 1989.

Fast-forward to today, Treasure Coast Carpet and Interiors is a family business run by the Hardins and their three daughters: Jill, Julie and Joy, along with their other team members. This family-owned flooring store sells a diverse selection of carefully curated high-end products in a 4,000-square-foot showroom, complete with personalized, one-on-one consulting to ensure customers go home with the flooring option that’s ideal for them.

The multi-million dollar company also shared that over 90% of its customers are from referrals from previous clients that have had a seamless, enjoyable experience and want to spread the word. Additionally, in 2020, the team gave their showroom a complete re-design, creating a beautiful and pleasing environment.

Treasure Coast handles all aspects of the job from production selection to installation. It also utilizes its own contractors. These expert installers specialize in various areas from wood, carpet and blinds. Treasure Coast Carpet and Interiors is the premier dealer in the marketplace and supports all of The Dixie Group brands—Dixie Home, Masland and Fabrica. In 2022, our business doubled over 2021 as the company continued to support our growth strategy by adding and driving the Fabrica Wood and LVF products, with a highlight on the XXL. In 2022, Treasure Coast Carpet and Interiors added the 1866 and Decor product lines in our major displays. This will only continue our growth strategy into the future.

Bob Wagner’s Flooring America
West Chester, Pa.

What The Dixie Group had to say

Family owned and operated since 1975, Bob Wagner’s Flooring America has been serving their community for more than 47 years. Bob Wagner came on the flooring industry scene with Bob Wagner’s Mill Carpet and later, his son Matt (who now owns the company) would join to work in the shop alongside him. In 2015, the team at Bob Wagner’s Flooring America was recognized with an award for 40 years of service to the Downington community by former senator, Andy Dinniman.

Since receiving this award, the Bob Wagner team continues to take community involvement seriously. In the wake of the devastating Hurricane Ida, the team joined forces with local Boy Scout Troop 79 to provide free carpet and cushion to help flood victims get back on their feet. Many of its neighbors suffered devastating losses to their homes and businesses. Helping others has always been a family value, and as a family-owned business, Bob Wagner’s Flooring America is always there to answer the call for help.

Bob Wagner’s Flooring America also proudly supports HIGH 5 Soccer, a local program for special needs children.

Bob Wagner’s Flooring America supports all of the brands The Dixie Group has to offer: Dixie Home, Masland and Fabrica. Year after year, Bob Wagner’s Flooring America’s partnership grows with The Dixie Group, resulting in almost doubling its overall business with us since 2019. Additionally, the company’s commitment to The Dixie Group earned it the Most Valuable Partner award for Flooring America for 2021.
