Novalis to bring rigid core production stateside

Novalis will be one of only a handful of manufacturers with domestic rigid core capability by 2021. However, unlike most others, it has been doing this for 30-plus years—only on the other side of the world. The difference between Novalis and the other manufacturers is knowledge and experience, according to Steve Ehrlich, vice president of sales and marketing.

NAFCD reports Q2 sales decline, optimism for Q3

Chicago—The North American Association of Floor Covering Distributors (NAFCD) released the results of its NAFCD Quarterly Sales Trend Survey for the second quarter of 2020. Dalton—J+J Flooring has launched the Impact Project, a program designed to improve environments for seniors in underserved communities. Up to 10 projects will be awarded 5,000 square feet of flooring as well as free installation. Eligible projects include those for non-profit organizations that provide housing, residential care or day services to seniors in underserved communities.

WFCA implores members to demand action on stimulus relief

The World Floor Covering Association (WFCA) is calling on its members— now some 10,000 strong —to contact their respective representatives in Congress to encourage action on COVID-19 stimulus relief for small business. Congress is currently considering a fifth round of major legislation to help small businesses and to stimulate the economy in response to the pandemic, but Democrats and Republicans remain far apart on a resolution.
