The Perfect Bath

I have had an enthusiastic response to my posts about color, so I thought I would continue with this black, white and red powder bath. It is definitely a bold statement for a small space, especially since the ceiling has been covered in a graphic patterned wallpaper. Red lacquer is a vote of decorating confidence. In this case there is a nod to a Chinese influence with the square pulls.

Have you thought about a cleaning chart ? What I find is the hardest part about keeping a home clean with multiple people is for everyone to do “their part”! In my household of two teenage sons, a 5 year old daughter, a husband and a cat, it always seems like no one wants to take responsibility for cleaning up! I’m sure this is true with college roommates, and anyone else who has to share a living space with other people.

In the seven years that I have been writing articles here on Life of an Architect , that is my lowest output. I’d like to say that this is a matter of quality over quality, but that seems oddly self-serving.
