Salem, N.J.— Mannington has updated its Restoration laminate collection and rolled out several new hardwood lines to retail stores.

The Restoration collection, according to the company, has established itself as a premium flooring choice, going beyond the confines of traditional laminate to offer unmatched realism and durability in a high-performance floor. This year, Restoration products and display will carry a new statement: Resists Everything. Impresses Everyone.

“When we say that the product ‘resists everything,’ it’s hardly an understatement,” said Dan Natkin, vice president of laminate and hardwood. “The product is waterproof, thanks to SpillShield Plus, so consumers can feel confident putting it in a bathroom, kitchen or mudroom. In fact, we now have approved the use of residential steam-based mops for regular cleaning and sanitizing. That’s a big vote of confidence in the power of our SpillShield Plus waterproof technology.”

In addition, Restoration floors are guaranteed to resist scratches, indentations, stains and fading. They’re also made in the USA at the company’s manufacturing facility in High Point, N.C.

The company is also introducing one new design to the collection, Haven. “Haven uses TruDetail technology, a remarkable digital print method that provides genuine natural variation and unmatched attention to detail,” said Cristen DelBove, director of residential styling.

Haven’s subtle visual features 20 individual plank designs in a European white oak, based on the company’s ultra-premium Sanctuary product line in real hardwood. Haven’s embossed-in-register texture allows the natural character of the grain to show through. Haven features 8-inch-wide planks in a palette of five colors: oat, toast, honey, coffee and wheat.

This year, Mannington continues its focus on offering a hardwood flooring line with on-trend visuals that feature incredible durability at meaningful price points. Mannington hardwoods feature an industry-leading scratch protection wear layer, ScratchResist, which helps to keep the floors looking newer longer. That, combined with exclusive, in-house designs, makes for a winning product line that offers consumers a range of options to fit their personal style.

“On-trend visuals consumers are looking for, like long and wide planks and premium sliced face veneers, are central to this year’s introductions,” Natkin said. “We’re really excited to get them into the marketplace.”

From a design perspective, DelBove, added, “When you think about the key market trends that are emerging in hardwood for 2021, texture is very important. Scrapes are softer and more refined and hand-planed, wire-brushed looks are taking center stage. Gloss levels are coming down to allow the warm natural beauty of wood to come through.”

New lines include:

Kodiak: This look can be categorized as “Global Boho,” the company said, but suits almost any interior space. The hand-stained and hand-scraped finish creates a warm, rich visual that lends itself perfectly to the eco-friendly vibe that continues to gain popularity. This sustainably harvested plantation white teak species comes in planks that are 5 inches wide, with lengths up to 4 feet. Kodiak colors include: champagne, rye, autumn and fawn.

Mountain View XL: In keeping with the longer, wider trend that has taken the market by storm, Mannington introduced a makeover edition to the best-selling Mountain View product line. Mountain View XL is a rustic, 6.5-inch-wide, 7-foot-long update. Featuring artisan hand scraping and hand staining, this line aims to epitomize the word “character” with its handsome and dramatic graining. Mountain View XL is available in the four top selling Mountain View colors: autumn, bark, fawn and smoke; and features two new, lighter Nordic influenced colors: champagne and platinum.

Park City: Park City is a 7 ½-inch-wide sliced white oak product with lengths up to 7 feet long. “Natural” has been added to its color line.

Forest Park: Capitalizing on the popularity of hickory, Forest Park is a 7.5-inch-wide plank, premium sliced-face hickory with extra-long lengths up to 7 feet long. It is designed to be durable, versatile and create a unique and sophisticated visual in the home. “One of my favorite things about Forest Park is the hand-stained color palette,” DelBove said. “Its warmth can only be found in a hickory floor, and its ‘traditional with a fresh outlook’ vibe is the perfect fit for the Grand millennial trend.”

Forest Park’s four colors are twig, sunbeam, natural and trail.

Sanctuary: A premium product with exceptional design, the European white oak is brought to an even higher level with an ultra-matte finish that highlights the soft, natural character of the wood. Sanctuary’s massive planks are 5/8-inch-thick, 9.5 inches wide and up to 7 feet long with a 4mm thick face. The series capitalizes on the simple and clean visual in six zen-like colors: driftwood, dune, fresh air, oyster, sea salt and shell.

All Mannington hardwood floors feature the scratch protection wear layer, ScratchResist, which helps to keep hardwood floors looking newer longer. In addition, Mannington’s in-house styling team research global trends to bring exclusive designs to each product line. The company said it is proud of its sourcing processes, and all Mannington hardwood products are Lacey Act compliant, CARB/TSCA Title VI compliant and FloorScore certified.
